Established in 2005, Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center in Marion, IN, was founded to meet a growing demand for dedicated autism treatment services and to make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of affected children and their families.
Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, the first-of-its-kind Hopebridge LLC program provides personalized outpatient ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis), feeding, occupational, and speech therapies for children with autism spectrum disorder and those navigating physical, behavioral, communication, social, and sensory challenges. Today, it offers patients and families a trusted resource of hope, support, and care nationwide.
More than 15 years later, Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers continue to provide dedicated, compassionate care to patients from more than 100 locations throughout the U.S., including Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, Kentucky, Colorado, Arkansas, Ohio, and Oklahoma.
Hopebridge LLC: Origins
The Hopebridge program began as the vision of Founder Kim Strunk, who had then been serving children across her community. As an occupational therapist, Strunk observed that many of the children in her care exhibited characteristics commonly associated with autism and that many of those kids' parents ran from place to place to ensure their children received adequate treatment. Strunk soon realized there must be a better way to connect those children and families with the care they needed and deserved.
Soon came Strunk's multi-disciplinary, evidence-based approach, one rooted in the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Strunk's program didn't fit the conventional autism therapy framework in place at the time. Additionally, insurance providers needed to recognize or cover ABA services, making them inaccessible to many. But with the help of her team, Strunk's tenacity and determination ensured new treatment options and opportunities for Hopebridge patients across the community.
Over 15 years later, underserved communities across the region and multiple states have access to quality, dedicated ABA services and care. What began as a vision and one Indiana location now serves patients across 12 states, connecting thousands of families with quality autism treatment at one of the largest autism therapy centers in the United States.
